InDesign Training Introduction

You are starting to familiarize yourself with print layout and design and you would like to learn about the tools and features available to you in Adobe InDesign. In this course, you will explore the Adobe InDesign software and its capabilities to create eye-catching printed documents.

Who This Course Is For

This course is intended for graphic designers, creative professionals, print professionals, publishers, prepress professionals, and marketing communications professionals. It's focused on those creating layouts for print.

What You'll Learn

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Layout Text & Graphics in a Document while making use of InDesign Frames
  • Share formatting and appearance attributes with Styles
  • Manage linked files and missing Fonts
  • Automate the workflow with Master pages
  • Define Colours, Tints & Gradients using the Swatches panel
  • Output an Artwork for Prepress printing

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, you should have a basic understanding of your computer's operating system. For example,you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CD and other media.

Course Materials

Course materials are provided. This includes pen, note pad and a training manual as well as lunch and refreshments. Our goal is to make sure your class meets your objectives, not ours. Therefore, all of our outlines are treated as guides to help steer the workshop. We may change or alter course topics to best suit the classroom situation. A certificate will be given on completion of the course and you may also have the opportunity to sit for an accredited exam. Courses may also be customized to fit your exact requirements.
